SSQV Issue

So, usually the SSQV has a sexy flutter and sounds crisp. But as of late mine has been very weak sounding, almost inaudible from inside the car, and it lost the flutter for a pussy sounding pshh followed by a loud Chink. The car also feels like its running on stock boost again (ive got SBII running 18psi on the OTS map). I pulled the valve off and as i looked through the bottom where the recirc fitting is i saw the ring around the purple cone was not centered at all, and from the side bolting to the cold pipe the ring was crooked and the black (i guess tripod looking thing) that attatches to the pegs coming off the back of the ring was completely disconnected and flapping around. Please help...is the tripod thing supposed to come off of the ring's pegs and why does it still make the pshh and chink after i straigtened the ring and reattached everything?

sounds like the internals may be busted to have offset the ring like that.
might have to get a rebuild kit if the SSQV has one. take it apart first to see.

Also, boost-wise, if you have any monitoring device, id data log to see if it is holding steady boost on WOT pulls.

yeah i did some datalogging with the standback and im holding consistent 18lbs accept for when i mash it below like 3k rpm but thats to be expected when the cars under that load but ill keep an eye out for the rebuild kit and yeah ill disassemble it soon when i have time

looks to me like the seal is ripped and got shifted alittle so while your logs say your getting 18psi, your probably leaking alittle air under WOT through that seal, id just take the 8 little screw out and see if the seal is ripped and if so replace it, if its not ripped youll probably need the rebuild kit or a new BOV, but id call HKS if thats the case because thats a Part Malfuction issue..
