Srt4 plug wires.... Sooo close!

So I got bored the other day and grabbed some extra srt wires that were sitting around to see if they would fit on the mp3. With a little rigging, they come really close. I think the car did feel smoother but maybe its just me

Plug wires are just that plug wires. Unless you had a bad one it won't make a difference.

Our stock ones just seem so thin. I can tell by looking at them the difference in size. I've just always liked running thicker wires on my cars.

Did you snap the bolts that hold the coil packs? Your major worry now is condensation/water getting in through the holes.

From my understanding the thicker wire takes longer to get spark through which ends up being worse

I've never heard that before... I could be wrong tho. Maybe it takes a little longer but would the spark be stronger?

I snapped the ones on the passenger side yeah I will try to get it fixed one of these days.

Bigger the wire, the more amps can flow through. However, the waste spark system used in the protege is a low amp system. .5 amp at 20-30,000 volts.

Yup. Gnerally, "bigger" wires are just heavily insulated to protect from heat, corrosion and metal it can ground to.
