Squeaking drivers seat

Apologies if I am rehashing an old topic but found nothing from my search...the driver's seat in my wife's '08 Touring has developed an annoying squeak in the power driver's seat. I have checked for anything lodged underneath or beside the seat and tracks and found nothing. Any known problems or remedies?

The left side of the drivers seat back squeaks on the cx-9...at least the ones with leather do. The left side of the seat has an airbag module in it, I think this may have something to do with it, but again, as discussed on this forum, its more evidence of cost cutting. quality/value/price. Kinda like the vibrating driver mirror, no fix for it, its just normal.

I have the same problem on my 09 Sport with cloth power seats.

I have done 2 TSB's

1. Wrapping electrical tape on spring ends.
2. Wrapping inside the seat with some foam silencer material.

The squeak sounds worse now, it sounds like an old spring mattress! If anyone has any other ideas, please help. It is driving me crazy

instead of tape, maybe try white lithium grease?

I have the same issue with 08 GT. There are 3 different TSBs for the squeaking seat:

I have the noise coming from under the seat. I greased the moving parts under the drivers seat and it made things worst. I will take the car to a dealer to remove the seat and grease the area between the shaft and side frame.

Old thread - my 2010 9 squeaks but I think it's coming from the seatbelt buckle...anyone else?
