springs or rims or springs or rims...

what should i get first...lowering springs or rims...i don't have enough for both right now...
springs will look funny with my steelies and rims will look funny sittin up all high...so im not sure...
whats your opinions...

lowered with stock rims: you look better & get the handling benefits

rims with wheel gap: you look like a 4x4 & you won't get any REAL compliments until you lower your car

Besides, you can always paint your stock wheels or do something else as a temporary solution.

Springs for sure if cost is a major concern for you right now. Also, springs improve driving handling. Rims look great but don't improve any driving abilities. They are the finishing touch in my opinion.

ok...cool...now the question is...i gotta find somewhere to get it done...where did you guys go, to a local place? or did you do it yourself...im pretty mechanically inclined...and so our a couple of my friends who could help out...but none of us have put springs in before and i don't want to **** up my car...so...is it real hard and should i just bring it in to some professional place? and what is a good price...i don't feel like getting ripped :)

ive got some 6 week old springs ill sell pretty cheap. they are the eibach pro kit.

very easy to do. i had never worked on a fwd car before, just minitrucks, and found this a lot easier than lower a tacoma for example. pirana has some kick ass install instructions on his homepage that will tell you everything you need to know. that is what i used mainly for removing the interior pieces. plus, if anything ever happens you will know what to do. there have been many posts about sway bar endlinks messing up and stuff like that. just read around in here you will find everything you need to do it. good luck:D
