Spotted: Red MSP

I have seen a 2003.5 MSP here in Baton Rouge 3-4 times now that's been painted fire engine red (looks like the red that's on the Mazda6 5-door).

Anybody know whose it is? Is it anyone on this board?

Heard of a few dealerships custom painting MSPs all sorts of colors. This may be a way dealerships fixed some of the MSPs that had defective paint jobs (bubbling, peeling), from what Iv'e heard.

Hmmm.... that's interesting.

The first time I saw it, it was parked. At the time, I didn't know that there wasn't such a thing as a stock red MSP, so I mostly just gawked at it ( I was just learning what an MSP was).

Now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure it had a sunroof and black leather seats w/ red insets and a red MAZDASPEED stitched logo, which I now know must have been aftermarket, too.

Can't promise anything, but I'll definitely try. Every time I've seen it, it's been in a part of town that I don't go to very much.

Last time I was at the dealer, I asked the service guys if they knew who had it, and they said they'd never seen it in the shop. So, I guess the dealership (at least that one -- there are two in town) didn't do it pre-sale.

2000-3000 for a decent one... Probably more.

True, but it had the exhaust tip, the Kenwood system, the 17" Racing Hart rims, and the MSP short shifter, too. That's a lotta dough. By the time they did that, they'd have more money in the car than they would have if they'd just bought an MSP.

*edit* And that's just what I remember seeing on it when I saw it parked.... but that was months ago.

yeah i know the yellow is so nice when you have it waxed , that color is beutifull at night.
