Sport 2.5 AWD Hard to find

I test drove a Sport with a 2.5 engine last week. Very nice. The only option it had was Bluetooth. I like the car and it had all I needed, but I can do without the Bluetooth. Two days after that car was off of inventory. Not one word from the salesman even though I expressed interest in a basic Sport. An inventory search in my area, CT, shows no 2.5 Sports. Smaller engine available as well as many touring and Grand Touring.
So I'm thinking this model is really hard to find. Perhaps Mazda is pushing the upper models more so I won't hold my breath. Maybe things will change as the model year goes on. I have a Mazda 5 Sport so I know what I need. Anyone find the CX-5 2.5 in their area?

There is no 2.5 Sport option. It had to have been a Touring.

Here's a link to the Mazda spec page. If you study it you will see the Sport AWD comes with a 2.5 engine.

that has to be a recent change. The Sport used to be FWD and 2.0L, only option was manual or auto.

Actually there is a sport AWD, I saw it at the stealership while I was buying my 2.5. It was a 2015; didn't look at the motor.

Well I was wrong. My salesman called and said he could get one, so we re going to talk prices later this week. I have been using the build your car at Mazda USA and it never found one, but they do exist in my area. So maybe there is a CX-5 in my future.

^ Im still waiting.. Planned on a CX5 for over 2 years. Finally gave up and bought a CX9 instead for the wife. Now im waiting for them to offer a MTX with some options, or the turbo diesel to finally be released.
