Spin on oil conversion help please

I was using the how to I found (mazda 3 forums): http://**********************/showthread.php?t=339596

I removed the 4 bolts holding the old oil filter assembly. If you have done this before you probably remember there is one bolt that is hard to remove thanks to this hose. I read somewhere not to remove this hose as it contains coolant. Anyway now the oil filter is hanging there suspended by these two black hoses connected to this black box looking thing above the filter (see pic).

The how to doesn't mention this nor do i even see it in the pictures. A little help please!! What do I do with this black box / hoses?

For the future if anyone looks... (I figured it out). There is a bolt on top of the black box that needs to be removed and then the oil filter assembly will come loose.
