Speed3 at the Drag strip ....

Great times man, one of these days Im going to get down to the strip and run my car. Im hoping for somwhere in the neighborhood of 13.5 if I can get a good launch and conditions work out.

BTW, what blew up next to you on your 13.4 run? Good 60' and 330' times but then it slows....

It was a turbo M3 runing in the mid 10s

Has anyone ever raced against an Altima 3.5 R or whatever they are.... I wasn't at a drag strip but literally 1/2 hour ago a kid in one of these cut me off in a 55 zone going like 85 (at least) so I then flashed him when the highway opened up...he slowed and then I pulled along side. At a rolling 65 in 5th I blew his doors off. Don't they have like 270 hp or something like that? Anyway I was just curious how they did from a stop compared to an MS3.

The mods won't take kindly to talking about street racing. It's a no no in this forum. The other forum has a street racing section, so go there and post and we can talk about it.

I'm gonna do more agressive launch when i get the rear motor mount and the engine torque damper, but now i'm trying to save my stock motor mount lol.

If i can get my 60' into 1.9s i'm gonna be good for 13.2

i'm late to this discussion b/c my workplace decided to block the site, but after reading all the posts, the one quoted above, suggests to me the following: if you do keep the stock motor mounts & continue to do drag runs, chances are exponentially greater that the mount will break & the engine will collapse w/o the mount. Plenty of threads about this very topic, even ppl who did have the 07 TSB heftier motor mount bolt installed, only to discover ir broken & the aforementioned engine hanging by a thread.

I think the 2008+ have a factory-reinforced mm however seem to recall threads about yet the same experience. More scary stuff? Distincly remember someone posting about collapsed medieval mounts, which i though were the standard of the industry.

Bottom line? If yer gonna drag it [and i think you should, given the great times w/ only an SRI] , do some research (homework) & investigate the best mm for drag/autocross use. My dos centavos, but also what I would do if I was in your situation...(detect)
