I have an issue with my Speed 6. For awhile the car has been pulling to the right. I took it to the dealership and they did an alignment which helped a little bit but i noticed my caster on the Front Left tire was out of spec. Well my tire had worn out funny from the alignment being off so i just rotated my tires and it helped a little bit more but it still pulls to the right. The current specs from the alignment are

Left Front Camber .3
LF Caster 5.0
LF Toe .09

Right Front Camber -1.1
RF Caster 4.4
RF Toe .12

Left Rear Camber -1.8
LR Toe .05

Right Rear Camber -1.2
RR Toe .05

My brother is a mechanic and was telling me that the caster is what is causing it to pull to the right. I know normally there is no adjustment for caster but is there anything you guys thing i may be able to do to get the caster on the LF closer to what it is in the RF. I really need to figure somehthing out because my tire on the LF is wearing out funny and at this rate i'll have to be buying tires every 8k miles or so. Some told me there was a TSB for this specific issue and when i went to the dealer and showed them the TSB they looked it up and there was an updated one which said it excluded the mazdaspeed vehicles so they did not perform the TSB.

Check Sub frame alignment. The lower portion of the suspension is attached to the sub frame and if it is out of spec the alignment will be also. .02

Note also that tire pressure is also a great place to start.

hhhmmm ive never heard of sub frame alignment but ill ask my brother to check it out. also i checked my tire pressure and all of them are at the same psi

most awd cars pull to the right eventually, ask anyone with quattro. if you have awkwardly treadworn tires, thats the exact reason why you are pulling to the right, get an alignment at a different place and see what happens if replacing tires doesnt work.

... (uhm)

im with doogie on this one...
check for frame alignment and.or suspension component wear.. did you hit anything..
no amount of alignment adjustments will fix a bent frame.. look for a shop that has a laser jig..

is it tire pull?? If the tires are worn unevenly this can contribute to the problem....

anybody have any suggestions

Yes, there is a TSB concerning pull on the 6. Looks like you have more caster on the left than the right which will cause a strong pull to the right on most roads. If not equal, you can get by with a few tenths of a degree more on the right to counter the road crown. There are offset upper control arms and a procedure to "center" the suspension arms as well. Check out the TSBs and you'll find it. Your dealer can find it as well, if they want to. If they don't want to find it for you they simply suck and you should find a new dealer or at least a competent service provider otherwise...

well i finaly got the car fixed. They didnt replace the control arms but it seems the last alignment i had was all F'ed up. Loks like somebody didnt know what they were doing. So this new dealership did a very good alignment and was able to get the caster on the front pretty close to eachother. Crosscaster came out to .16 i believe and was .87 before.
