Speed 3 - replacing stock HID bulbs

I want to replace the stock MS3 bulbs with some that emit a light similair to the stock bulbs when they are first turned on, before they warm up to the bright white color. Would a 6000k hid bulb do the trick, or do I need to go to 8000k? I don't want to lose too much light, so I'm leaning towards 6000k. Any brand recommendations? Thanks for any help.

you are aware that the higher the # k rating is the more color you get and the less light and the lower the # the more light less color im lookin t 5,100k bulb...i have a 6k now and on a rainy night i cant see for shish.....

I have 7k and the light output is....meeh decent. IMO if you want performance/better lighting don't higher then 6k!

What are the stock bulbs? 4,200k?
