spec clutch question

Just wondering what spec clutch everyone is using, i got mine installed along with a new lsd since mine crapped out and i am still in the break in period. I just wanted to make sure my car was boosting right since it had all that work done wanted to make sure there was no leaks. So i boosted in 3rd and the clutch slipped. Just wondering if this is normal in the break in period. I have the spec stage 2 clutch.

I had a Spec stage 2 and it sucked major ass...After a 1000mile break-in it would slip in all gears under hard accel.And continued to slip untell I replaced it about 1 1/2yrs later...

When I took it out to replace it with the Exedy the flywheel & PP had burn marks where,the clutch had been slipping it looked something like this: ( ) To give you an idea.There are pics some where on here of someone else with a Stage2 with the EXACT Burn Markings.CustomMSP Maybe?....The Clutch was installed correctly so,I know that wasn't what caused this clutch to fail....

So, in short: Spec stage2=s***. IMHO!,Exedy stage1 FTW!!

i have the spec stage 2 along with there lightened flywheel and i have had 0 problems with it. she grabs everytime, all the time, and grabs hard at that. i have had it for about 1.5 years now, and i have loved every minute of it. i guess either you get a good clutch from spec, or a bad one.

Is anyone using the stock flywheel? Or does it not work with the kevlar clutch surface????
 
Did you get the flywheel resurfaced?
 
I have the Spec stage II also (i had it installed when my lsd crapped out). Mine slipped when I got on it a little leaving the dealership but after breaking it in for about 500 miles it has works great. I am running 13 pounds of boost and the clutch is holding strong, grabs hard and never slips no matter how much hell i give it. I say just be patient and break it in properly and it should be fine.
 
Yea it seems to be getting better now, although i have the car parked and can't drive it because the drivers side caliper is seized and the dealer wants 500 bucks for 1 caliper. And from what i am finding out you can't find a remanufactued one so this sucks.
