Spare Tire different Brand? CPO 2023 CX-5 Sig

I purchased a CPO 2023 CX5 SIGNATURE WITH 2,190 miles. It has Toyo tires although the spare is a Yokohama. Is this normal? I know I could have called the dealership with this question but I’d rather talk with you guys and gals. Thanks

Hey! You can rest easy. I just checked our 2024 which we purchased new and we have the same...Toyo tires and a Yokohama spare. So, guess it's normal!

I have a full size tire as a spare mounted on a steel rim.

Yours is full height, that's what matters. My 2018 came with a shorter tire so I spent a bunch of effort to get a new wheel and tire that had the same outer diameter but still fit in the pocket.

it is still a temporary tire limited to short distance and slow speeds. I have always have had a real spare on all my vehicles. I do a lot of long road trips and getting a flat with a temp tire in the middle of no where on a sunday is not ideal.

I think I've needed a spare maybe 3 times in 37 years of driving. One of which was on my wedding day on the way to the wedding!

50 mph is fine for me in an uncommon situation like that for a few hours are a couple of days every decade or so. I don't drive off-road.

I do have a full sized spare for my pickup, but there's plenty of space for that under the bed.
