IS it worth my money to get the SP2 system??? it costs about 500 bux.... so i wanna make sure its good.... i did some research on it and glad to hear that its almost as quiet as stock... i dont like it loud, and it looks normal... nothing too flashy.

But what i dont know is the power gains... anyone know by chance???
 
Power gains on a catback are minimal, the stock catback system isn't all that bad, and the stock muffler isn't all that restrictive.

Maybe 5 HP tops. Probably more like 3-4.
 
hmmm thenits not worth my money????.....

cuz i want to get something that is quiet and gives decent power.... ionn about a downpipe cuz that'l make it loud right?
 
When I had the stock catback with the Apex catted downpipe, it wasn't loud at all....just a tiny bit louder than stock. When I installed the spool catback it was a lot louder.
 
Hmmmm not bad... so if i got the SP2 exhaust.. .and the APEX downpipe.. it'll be super loud?
 
No it's not super loud. It has a really nice tone and you will be satisfied. I have the catted Apex w/ SP2. Just need to get the heat shield perfect so it doesn't rub and vibrated against the piping or the car. Hope to have some sound clips up soon.
 
I have Ion's catless 2.5 inch downpipe and the Greddy SP2 catback. Its not loud. It has a nice sound when you get on it. I can't think of a better exhaust. It is not ricey sounding whatsoever. Get it and you won't be disappointed.
 
nice info guys....the only problem is that i need it to sound ALMOST LIKE STOCK.... just so my parents dont murder me..... i still live at home haha, yea.... i need to kknow how much louder it is.. with the APEX and SP 2
 
Hey gboromsp did you get any rubbing on your heat shield etc... after you installed your down pipe with the SP-2 like HammondMSP is dealing with?
 
I also have the greddy sp-2 with apex dp. I t is very quiet beleive me. People dont beleive me when I tell them I have no cats and an open exhaust. They say, "Why is it so quiet?" It is maybe a hair louder than stock. I love it!
 
Yeah I did. I just took a big flat head screw driver and bent the heat shield where it was hitting. It helped, but they I bought kartboy hangers and that helped more. I still have it just a little bit when someone is riding in the back of my car, but only then. I think it rattles sometimes now because the kartboy hangers actually lifted the whole exhaust, so I need to bend my hangers down about a 1/4 inch.

Hmmm great help guys... for those of you with the APEX with NO CAT.... how loud is it?? and would it be much louder than the one with the highflow cat... cuz its 100 bux more...kinda spendy.
 
No it won't pass unless you know someone who will pass it for you. Basically you gotta know someone to get it done.
