no.. it's the real deal! artillery shells and everything.

...nice they make things that blow up legal but tint that shades you from the sun and makes you car look kool illegal (hand)

I found this http://www.13wmaz.com/news/top_stories.aspx?storyid=14556

"The governor signed a bill making the hand-held fireworks legal for the first time. It goes into effect July 1st."
Wal-mart started early?

"They're setting up tents in some of the Wal-Mart stores along the roadsides selling what they call sparklers, but they are a lot larger sparklers than just the hand-held sparklers that the state thought they were approving."
yep... a lot bigger. =)

We used to have bottle rocket and roman candle wars. Theoretically you aren't supposed to hold either in your hand but no worries.

We also used to make PVC pipe bombs for s**** n giggles.... this was 10 years before 9-11. Don't think that would be smart anymore.

We still can't have the bottle rockets or any of the fun ones. But at least its a start. And I agree we can't tint our windows dark but we can handle explosives. Seems a little backward to me. LOL

All fireworks are illegal here statewide. That doesn't stop 50 fireworks stands from popping up on every corner in the next couple weeks.

how are they illegal? Alabama is(well.. was) the place to go.

I was in BJs Warehouse yesterday and was like WTF, there in front of me was super huge fireworks. Large rockets, artillary shells, etc. I was still confused til I read this, I had no idea they changed the law.

YEA!....not that it's hard for me to drive 2 minutes from work to get some at BIG MOMMA'S FIREWORKS STAND in Alabama before now, but atleast now while I'm picking up some sliced turkey, bread and diapers at Wally World, I can throw the fireworks in too.(cool)

I noticed that they had fireworks are in Eckerds....lol I just thought it was a country thing out here in conyers...

We've been carrying 5 different assortment packages now for the last couple of weeks @ my location, Costco in Alpharetta.

From $150. assortment packages to $15 sparklers (a shitload of them).

I never gave it a second thought when they came in, Fireworks have always been legal in Florida.
