since i don't smoke, i'm looking for something to maybe put in the space that the ashtray and cigarette lighter take up in the center consol.

not totally sure what to put, but i'm thinking if i go with a stereo, it would be a good eq spot. or maybe there's something else out there that i'm not thinking of at all that would be a nice little interior addition to an auto p5.

anyone know of a pocket or something that goes in there? maybe a pull out tray or pod?

i personally use the ashtray for a change holder although it holds like $5 lol better than nothing though. its always good to have a few extra $$$ for gas......

i think craig (1sty) used it for some sort of controller or audio thing. pm him.

im going to be mounting my amp cut off switch inside there once i get my car back on wednesday.

Umm... I don't use it for change since I use the change holder for that (hand)

I put gas receipts in there. I guess that's not too fun now, is it.

ash tray holder = small neon
cig lighter = cig plug for neon

lol
hahaha, when I read that I was thinking Dodge Neon!! I was like, "man, I know they're small and look like toys, but this is just a ridiculous stretch"

(lol)

it all depends on the look you want to achieve, a freind of mine put his headunit there in place of the ashtray, lighter..then he put a t.v monitor where the headunit use to be. looks really sweet. i've also seen someone remove the trim plate and mold another one with fiberglass and cut that section out and leave it like nothing was ever there.. and wrapped it in carbon fiber..tons of ideas just depends on the route you want to go

craig had his wideband digital readout in the ashtray. he also mounted his boost and fuel pressure gauges in the mp3 pocket.

on the comment of the good racing game, over here in korea they have Initial D version 3 over here, only 500W (roughly 40cents) per play, which is a steal compared to the $2 they should be charging in the states. (compared to all the other games 500W is expensive, most are 200 or 300W for a good one).

I put my stereo down there and put a t.v. where the factory stereo was. I like it a lot better down there.

My husband and I took the end off of the radar detector and put it in one of the fuses so for 1 you don't have the wire hanging all over the place, and 2 it still comes on only when the car is started (just like it would if it was in the lighter).

WHAT! That's crazy... god I wish Initial D was $.40 over here... even $.50! Initial D is my fav... this game is my second. Called Wangan Midnight... a lot like tokyo racer like... fun gave when it doesn't freeze

We only have version 2 in Hawaii and $1 is the cheapest but $2 is the norm. Sorry for the threadjack!

How about some pics? especially of the new head unit location.
