2013 Mazda 2 Sport
I recently purchased a 2013 Mazda 2 Sport Automatic brand new from the dealership. When driving it home I noticed a hissing sound that almost seems to be coming from the rear right side. It is most prominent when at 1000-2000 RPMs though it can show up while freeway driving at 3000 rpms and beyond. I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this and if it would be suggested to go back to the dealership and have their tech team look into it.

I was also wondering how many miles you guys can typically get from an entire tank? Half a tank only gets me to about 90 miles.

Can't really answer much to the first part aside from just take it back and let them give it a check. As for the mileage I can get up to 350 miles to a tank with my car. Technically you should get 330 miles to the tank but it can vary. Now here is the key to our car...half a tank on the meter isn't really half a tank. When you're halfway down on bars (4 bars gone) you should have about 90-120 miles. When you have 1 bar and E blinking you have about 4 gallons left (at least that's the average for me, will vary slightly). When you have no bars and just the E blinking at you, you have 3 gallons left...As you learn your car you will find that you won't follow the meter anymore (it lies) and be more watchful of how close you are to the 300mile mark. I try to not let my car go over 300 miles on a tank due to not wanting to destroy/overheat my fuel pump but it does happen.
