1. i have benn thinking about painting my head lights what color do you think would go best with black??
2.same question but this time brake calipers??

black on black headlights would be very stealth, very pimp.
i think red calipers look best on a black car. red calipers on anything else look weird to me

The P5 headlights are already pimp especialy on a black car. Look sweet as hell!
Leave them alone.

Id have to second Dexters comment. If mp5typer wants paited lights the damnit he should paint them. Iconoclast, if your in it for performance only, then good for you. Some of us want to also upgrade the apperance of our cars, or have some cosmetic upgrade goals. One of the most often praised mods on this forum is the Daveb Guage rings. Everyone who gets them LOVE the way they look. Does it do a damn thing in the Performance catagorie? NO, but eveyone who has them feels that much more in love with thier car when the get in and drive, and THAT is what it is all about.

Hey mp5typer, if you decide to paint your lights, you can use my heat gun. I used it for debadging my old car & I bet it would work just as well as baking but without the risk.

Ummm, I seriously beg to differ. Once the DaveB's were placed inside my car, not even installed - just sitting on the seat, I felt an increase of at least 5 whp. Then, once installed, not only did I notice an increase of another 10 whp (that's right, whp) my gauges flicked up and back quicker and with better response time. Oh, it also fixed my clutch chatter. Since I've had my DaveB's I've noticed an overall improvement in the performance of my P5... plus my paint chips magically disappeared!!!

Have you chosen a color to accent your car with? I've got a black mica and I'm accenting it w/red. I saw a pic of a red P5 w/red headlight housing and it looked tight, dunno how it would look on a black car tho. I'd say go w/black but if you wanna be bold paint it your accent color and be done with it.

hmmm.

why chrome. Canada has black. seems you could save a lot of time and buy canadian housings.

but that would probably be more expensive than the do it yourself method.
