I definitely wouldn't suggest buying a MS6 until you were comfortable shifting... Not even sure you should test drive an STI if you're still getting comfortable with it they aren't forgiving (at least the one I test drove wasn't).
As others have said though, comfortability is the biggest difference between MS6 and the Evo/STI's. This is especially noticeable in the rear seat and the general interior.
