Snapped an axle.

DAMN. Excellent find my friend, if this comes thru, I owe you some money. I have been trying with TCI which only make Honda axles, at least this place makes Mazda.

I do have a paypal account. ;)

So...lets engage them with an email and see what they need as a minimum buy in for them to start the tooling process for our platform.

It wouldn't hurt.....

Once we get a ball park price, I think we could start a poll on interest and possibly a group buy.

The only thing that sucks (someone re-confirm for my forgetfull ass) is that our P5/MP3 axles are NOT the same as the MSP....?

Just sent it... I wrote it like a sponsorship letter. Hopefully we get a good response. I also directed them to out thread.

I directed them here also.

Ok...this is promising.....are there any other companies? We should do a bit more shopping.

maybe another thread....but what does upgraded axles do to your "everyday" drivability? Pros? Cons?

this type of mod is new to me.

I have emailed TCI to no avail. They are hardcore Honda guys. Shouldn't be any drivabilty issues, but if your not making loads of horsepower, I can't see why anyone would want to pay 6-$700 for upgraded axles.

Does anyone live in or close to NY to send them a set of axles? How much are the asking for? Just wondering.:D

Dave

I emailed Frank back and told him I will call him tommorow. If the turn around time is not that bad, I will just send my axles to him, but I have to wait till the one from California comes in (the replacement for the one I broke). It will not be here untill next week. i would think they will be the same price as the other Mazda stuff, which they are listing at $599......

Wait!, I just thought of something, they make a 93-97 Probe/MX-6 axle, the only difference is ours has two less splines on the wheel end, I wonder if he can just work with what he has? I will call him tommorow.

we at the driveshaft shop will always make what is needed, i would believe the c.v.'s would be the same as a mx3 but i have not had a "5" axles to look at. if you could get someone to send me samples (they can be broken ones) i will research and produce them.

I bought an engine/tranny off ebay and is in route to me as we speak (write...whatever), it also is coming with the axles. I could easily put those to some good use! I'm in AZ though, kinda far.

That would be cool if you could do that for us. When are you supposed to receive them. Manual tranny, right. If you could send him the jack shaft also. I can help with the shipping charges if needed.
