does anyone sell these or know how to modify my current ones so they look nice and dark. im getting my windows tinted real dark for my birthday and i wanted to darken the headlights. also, how much is a tint on the p5 gonna run?

Don't tint them, leave them clear! European look!

As far as the tail lights, I was thinking about that the other day... The lights on my GTi are half smoke, half red. They look sweet!

I'm not sure the half look would be good for the P5, maybe just smoke the whole light but not too dark.

Anyone here good with photoshop?

Watch the laws too. Canadian law isn't keen on tinted lights. However, a half-tint (like that found on VW GTi's) is legal & should give it a sweet look.

A few years back, I used to own a 1993 Mazda Protege sedan that I bought brand new on November of 1992 & tinted the whole tail light VERY dark. I can't count the times that I got pulled over. At least if you stick with a half tint, you be fine.

Same goes for the windows. Your front door windows MUST be relativly light. If not, you may run into trouble there too. You may want to consider a light tint all around.

Just tryin' to save you from all the hassle that I used to have.

Expect to pay between $150 and $180, unless you have connections. And I don't think our lights would look good tinted, unless you found something to do with the two silver circles where the reverse lights and turn siganls are, I think they would show throught unless you put it on super dark.

We have a guy on our club that took two bottles of Spray Tint and went crazy on them...then he finished them with a Clear Coat spray...works good for the look your going for!

tell me which one looks better

i personally like the dark one...

Hi !

What spray brand can I use to do that kind of thing...?
A secondary clear coat will be necessary ???

Thanks in advance,
FEDE.

some people do put on a clear coat, I didn't. I might, not sure yet. The spray is called nite-shades by VHT. Only thing is to be careful of legalities. I'm putting on one thin coat of the spray. Directions on the can say you can put up to three coats. Too dark for me. I will post pics when job is done. Two weeks because I'm doing more body work at the same time at the body shop. Cost of the can is about $15, got mine from 'Summit Racing.

Peace out Cubscouts, hopes this help some of you out because I got the idea from others on the protege sites, just passing the info along.
