Smartcard Programming & Key cutting help needed

I bought another smartcard online which came with a new uncut aux key.

I need confirmation on a couple things:

1) Laser cutting seems very hard to find, and if found, very expensive. Dealer cut my last key and they did not use a "laser." It was a rough cut just like Home Depot would do on a house key. Am I ok with having a local joe schmoe key cutter copy my original key and duplicate the cut? (likely will have local pop-a-lock store cut the new transponder key)
I have 2 working cards and now this new 3rd unprogrammed card, so I am going to program it myself.

2) Does the smartcard programming instructions program both the smartcard and the aux key, or do I need to follow both sets of instructions? (program the card, then program the key, or visa versa)

3) The programming instructions refer to a "door switch," it says "press the door switch twice, then close the door" - is it referring to the unlock/lock switch on the driver's door? and if so, which one, lock or unlock?

So I programmed the new-to-me card successfully, just need to go get the key cut and program the key using the alternate instructions I suppose. Found Ceric's key programming instructions for 08' which differ from 07 apparently. I have also found that these people on eBay who sell you a card and a new uncut key send you a aux key which is not a new oem key by any means. Its a 3rd party empty key shell and they stick an immobilizer chip in the opening and use a tiny spot of glue to hold it in place. I already had one chip fall out of a knockoff key, so I just used some additional glue to hold it in place. I'm just a little nervous about someone jacking up the cutting of the key.

Another question which pops into my head now is this: I have read on here that no 2 aux keys share the same RFID code, but 1) does an aux key share a same RFID code with its matching card, and 2) does it matter if you switch aux keys in various cards. I would think it does not matter if you swap aux keys around, as the aux key opening in the card is only to hold it and keep it with you, as the card will operate independently without the key, and when you use the key by its self, you don't need the card, so I think they operate completely independently of each other. Did I just answer my own question?
