SLS Performance Front Motor Mount

Hey everyone, I'm excited to say that this mod is worth it and anyone who doesn't have it, go get one before they run out. Came in the mail today and took about 1 hour to install. One thing that came in handy was a breaker bar and rustoleum penetrating spray. Oh and be sure to remove the bottom plastic like everyone says, its a lot easier!! (piss)

I took a shot of the stock mount next to SLSP's. My stock mount was half way torn in and truthfully all the vibration that I had before is gone! Strange? I mean it's still there, but not as bad as before. I also adjustied my hood rubber stoppers to prevent it from rattling. After that, my car was so quiet during idle. Performance gains - better shifting, less motor movement, and more pep when you gas it.

I agree with you. I use to run the AWR front and the car would rattle at idle or slow speeds. So I went back to the STOCK mount. When these came out I was sceptical of the claims. After riding in Clay's MSP ( he runs the SLS mount) I had to get one. Never looked back. I love the mount and highly recommnend it to everyone.

oh wow, very nice! They updated it since I got it, no more big washers on the sides, and it has their logo! very nice :)

I love my front mount, I gotta buy the side mount asap.

Yeah I don't get it either.. I had the AWR 95 duro front, then went back to stock (partially torn).. then it tore more, I bought the awr 70 duro inserts, used that for a while, then added rr racing inserts, omg it was so bad.. then got the SLS front mount, with the rr-racing rear inserts still in there was a lot less vibration, then I took out the rr-racing rear inserts.. but now my passenger side mount is actually 100% totally torn through so I need to buy the side mount asap.

I just don't understand why the SLS mounts are so much better.

they actually did send me washers but i couldn't use them, there was no way i was going to squeeze polyurethane through thick metal with my bare hands in such a tight space. I know it probably makes the mount last longer, but how does it fit? LOL

sweeet. i had the vibes (although better since the header - one less thing bolting the engine to the subframe (where the first cat mounts).

How much are they? Do they make side mounts? I need to think hard about this*!

*I promised myself 'no more mods after the MP3 ECU upgrade'

I've got 67k miles on my 03. I'm thinking about doing this mod...How hard is it? Is the front motor mount easy to get to?

I have been having a more noticeable rattling sound from my shifter after I installed the kartboy bushings. I believe it is from the vibration from drivetrain lash. Is there anything wrong with just putting in the front mount for now?

The front motor mount is very east to work on. It's just 3 bolts and is located right in front and on the cross bar. Depending on skill and how your stock hardware is determines how long it will take. Typically we see 20-60 minute install times from our customers.

We do have a rear mount, but it has not been released yet. We are making a change to the bushing size and durameter to ensure the least amount of vibration but with the firmest hold. There is no ETA at this time.

i know this one vibrates less but does it stop engine movement as well as the awr 70? i dont mind the vibration if i have to sacrifice its function. just curious. thanks in advance.

I was also thinking that my other mounts are being overworked to compensate for the front motor mount. I'm looking to get the side mount because I doubt the vibration can get any harsher especially with SLSP's, just enough to know my engine isn't moving so much during gears.

I have stock side mounts (probably torn) but AWR 70s front and back. I have NO (or very minimal) wheelhop with this set up. My point? I think the SLS front and rear would be effective with new/stock side mounts. And without the vibes that make my car sing!

It seems to stop the engine rocking as well as my SU mount did. I still will get a tiny bit of engine movement but, it is only cause it now pivots on the front mount and pulls the rear mount. I am guessing the stock rear will wear out a bit quicker. I am totally convinced the SLS mount is the way to go if this helps you on the descision to get one. I will order up the rear one as soon as they release it. Excellent product.

I noticed you were in Ohio, I was gunna say you could check out mine. I'm gunna be in Findlay next week for a few days with my car but, it looks like a bit of a drive away from where I am going to be......
