slight hesitation at start-up

topic, recently my car has been choking a bit at start-up. rather than just smoothly turning on, takes maybe half a second to resolve.

do you think it is an indicator of a larger issue or possibly mod-related? or maybe its just acting up because the weather has been kind of funky (very hot one day, cool the next).

thx

As an experiment, take off your forge BPV and replace it with the stock one. See if it continues....

I had this slight problem and kind of forgot about it because I took off the Forge for other reasons and the problem went away. I didn't really realize it went away until I put the Forge back on and the hesitation came back every once in a while.

I have what I believe to be the same issue, but the variables change so often and the problem occurs so infrequently that I can't decide what the problem might be. And this has happened to me when my car was stock and since I've had the mscai

Its done it in cold and hot, dry and humid, after being warmed up then parked for a few minutes and after a few days of not running the car at all. I simply cannot duplicate the problem

The only other thing I can think of wouldn't make any kind of sense for a fuel injected car, especially a direct injected one with an electronic throttle. And that's maybe a slight bit of fuel is not there during startup so there's slight hesitation. But then, like I said, that doesn't make sense on a modern air/fuel system such as this one to be anything other than consistent, unlike a carbureted one
