today i bought the garrett t28 m24 turbo from a rb26 skyline. i kno the flanges are the same and everything but is their anything i should kno before installing this on my car? if anyone has any info on putting a journal bearing t28 on an msp please let me kno. ill take all the help/ advice i can get. i kno people do stock tune/engine w the gt28rs and still make good afrs but is it the same case w the t28? anyone that can help. thanks.

The T28 pushes way more air than the stock T25. You may want to pick up a Wideband and an Air/Fuel controller. Also what other supporting mods do you have?

the key to using that turbo is keeping LOW BOOST. especially if you dont have a ton of supporting mods. run it at 6-7psi, swap your old wastegate actuator over if its at all possible. most of the t28 WGA's are set to 1ATM/14.7psi from the factory, and that will blow your motor as soon as you get on it.

i was gonna buy an aem wideband. and they make 6psi wga for this turbo so i think im good. ive just never seen anyone else use a t28 b4...its always the BB GT28 and idk how different the 2 turbos are hahah.

Whats the hp range 260? would it still line up to the exhaust correctly?

I squeezed a hair over 300whp on my sr20 240sx years ago with it on 19lbs, which is pretty much just at the limit

im not sure if it lines up but if not no biggie i culd have my friend make me one..all i need to buy is the flange for the tubro. and it was 90 bucks on craigslist..its in ggreat shape. seals r good and no play what so ever hahah and im stock internals.

you cant compare an SR20 to a FSDE, despite what looks like similarities, theyre not very alike as far as specific output goes. you can get an SR20 with 8.5:1 running 7psi on a journal bearing t25 and its making something like 210 hp. FSDE runs a ball bearing gt25 at 9:1 and its making 40 less hp.
