Just checked the MazdaUSA website and you can now build a 2012 Mazda3 with SKYACTIVE engines.
Bonus... For the 5 door, the SKYACTIVE (which gets 10 mpg better than the 2.5L MZR) is the cheaper option. Probably because the 2.5L is only an option for the grand touring. This is in contrast to all other manufacturers who often offer the more efficient engines (or eco models) at a premium.
Also just noticed the SKYACTIVE vehicles are almost 150lbs lighter.
Good job Mazda! I think a 2013 Mz3 hatch with a SKYACTIVE engine will be my next car. 39mpg and under 20K... yes please.
