2009 Mazda CX-7 GT
Hi Everyone, I am a newbie here and now a proud owner of 2009 CX-7 GT.
My radio has SAT and I enabled it, plus added the best of XM and increased it to 1 year. Now, my issue, Sirius can't seem to send an upgrade to my radio. I had it in to the dealer and they stated nothing is wrong with it. Has any one else have an issues like this with the factor SAT.

I did finally get this fixed. I talked with a fellow CX-7 owner who had the same issue and he was told to disconnect the battery for five minutes and the radio will reset then update. (BTW This resets all your auto features, such as windows etc.). The solution worked like a charm, radio updated and I know have the "Best of XM" on my factory sat.

Just wanted to thank you for posting your solution. I have been searching the answer to this problem. The dealer nor Sirius knew how to fix it. Thank you very much for saving my sanity.

Hard to imagine that is the fix

I took delivery of my 2009 CX7 3 weeks ago. It has the Bose upgrade with Sirius radio. After activation i signed up for the best of xm (I have 3 other vehicles all with xm). Activation would not go through. Finally Sirius said the unit was a Canadian built unit and not complatible with the Best of XM. My dealer of course knows nothing about it nor how to resolve it. I was on the phone with Sirius again and they claim the radio in the 2009 CX7 is not XM compatible. I am going to show this to my dealer and hope it works.

thanks

Got mine working today

The answer to this problem is a combination. I took(cool)(cool) my CX7 back to the dealer today. They did a software upgrade to the radio. I then called Sirius for them to send an activation to the unit. We unplugged the fuse for the radio for 5 minutes. When we put the fuse back in and turned on the sat radio it updated and I have the Best of XM. Only took a month but all good to go now!

Mazda 3 Sirius best of XM

I see this was the solution for the CX-7, but would that be the same for the Mazda 3? I have had this Sat Radio for a year and I want the best of xm option and until now, I got the same answer that it wasnt possible. Its as simple as unplugging the radio from the fuze? Is this something easy to do? (I am not much of a car guy).
