SIRIUS SIR-PS1 Woofer

The "sills" just pull up. Get your fingers under them on the inside side of them. and pull up. They will pop loose. Take off your kick panel (plastic piece under the dash to the left of your left foot if you were sitting in drivers seat). This will allow you to take up your carpet.

Try to get the cable under your divers seat.

Take your rear drivers side rear seat cushion out or lift it up to where you can get under the carpet under it. You'll also need to pull the "sill" up from the rear door. Get your hand under the carpet and find your pwr wire. Then run it behind the rear seat. With the cushion removed you should be able to get it behind the rear seat back.

Here is my battery terminal. The pwr wire had a terminal ring on it. I took the battery teriminal loose. Took the screw out put the ring in and the screw back in. Placed it back on the battery and put the nut back on. Be sure not to over tighten so you don't break the screw off. It needs to be tight and have no play but don't over tighten.

again I can't be repsonible if something goes wrong.

Its no prob. I spent 5 hrs installing an amp and TV/DVD/AM/FM radio 2 wks ago and got to know the car pretty well. Have fun with it and try to make sure everything is neat and tucked. Use wire ties if you have them to take care of any any extra wire and make your connections clean.

If you can help it, don't run the pwr wire close to the RCA's. Sometimes its just impossible to do and you have to, but the RCA's can pick up crosstalk and you'll hear it thru the spkrs. Also make sure you get a good ground. Mine isn't so great and I have some feed back coming thru. When I have time Im going to correct that. Go luck.

I just got done installing the stuff...in -5 degree weather. Mostly did pretty good! Couple things:

1.) The woofer turns on when I turn the receiver to "Sub Off" and the woofer turns off when I switch to "Sub On." No big deal though, just thought it was weird

2.) How does the aftermarket deck stay up alone? I don't have a bottom pocket yet or anything, but is it just the bottom HOLDING up the top? There's no clips on the alpine deck, but they gave me a couple screws.

Can you take a pic of what you're talking about (the deck holding up) ?

You should get a dash kit ($15-20) I got one on ebay for $17 shipped.

The Alpine deck should have a "cage" on it. That cage goes into the dash kit and you bend a few metal tabs to hold it in place. Then the deck slides into the cage. The dash kit would add a pocket as well.

The cage slides into the bottom part of the dash kit in the open rectangle Not the extra piece laying at the bottom of the pic but in the rectangle under the pocket..

Not too sure about the Sub On/Off situation. Sounds like the polarity is reversed on that switch. Don't have any ideas about fixing that. Go back and look at your manual on pages 7 and 8. It shows the switch location on page 7 and it says something about the Auto On Switch on page 8.
