The dealership I bought my car at is pretty much across the street from Mazda's North American Headquarters. They share their lot with a GMC dealership. They have gotten a lot of crap for it, so they bought a new lot and are now seperating the two. They are a pretty high volume dealership, and with the recent growth of Mazda, need a more space. I think as Mazda grows, you will see more independant dealerships. By the way, what is with people calling them stealerships. I own a business and understand the need for making a profit. Remember selling cars is a business, and they are just out there to make a profit just like anybody else. Some dealerships are shady, but most aren't. If you want to make fun of a business, look at Walmart, talk about ****** up business practices.
