Since VIR, don't think I am going to mod...

After running the north course at VIR this past weekend, I have decided not to mod my car. I am boosting consistantly to 8 lbs, sometimes 9 if it's a little cooler outside. I am not going to install my MBC because I am boosting stock what I would have boosted with the MBC anyway. I am still going to add the Injen Intake at some point just to get better air flow, and possibly change the exhaust, but that's it. IMO the MSP needs very little to no suspension work, and the stock tires are a beast on the track. I have never had so much fun... and I doubt very highly that I will be able to say this again... I was eating the back end of a Porsche 911 through every turn, and I lapped an NSX. Damn, I love my car!!! Any opinions from any others???

How are you at 8-9psi stock? I was at 5.5 stock & 6 only when I got on it in 5th...now with exhaust it's about 6.5psi like it should be.

swap out ur wastegate line for a shorter smallin diameter hose..should bump up ur psi a lil....but i dunno how mspchick is boost like that lol....i lik eto agree though.....im gettin k-sport full coilovers and im makin a intake ....a bov and maybe a greddy catback and im done....i cant wait for the june event.....(yippy) (nana)

I don't know how I got lucky either, but even other MSP owners say my car is faster. Maybe I was just blessed by the wastegate god... :) On a more serious note, are you going to Summit in Aug AutoBox? I can't afford VIR again in June (still recovering from last weekend), but I think I'll make the drive to WVA.

im def gonna try for both...lol i missed this months cus i had no loot :( but im def goin in june...and hopefully in aug too.....how much track time u get?

yeh thats awesome...tons of time..until u gotta get off the track...then its not enough lol hehe....yeh im def gonna pool my money to go twice....man i wish i had enough to make this months event

Stock tires? Lots of grip? LOL... Girl, I need to take you on track with my R-compounds...

That's GREAT!!! I always tell people, before you start modding the hell out of your car, see what you can actually do with it before trying to "improve" it. Track days and Solo II events are the best mods, I think. (spin) In general you find out what you really need at a track day anyway. Having good brake pads never hurt though.(band2)

I actually kinda regret going through the trouble of turboing my car (probably won't say that when it's done, but still)... The best mod was just getting a stickshift car instead of an automatic... I'm pretty happy with that. Beefing up the suspension would be great too.

Hehe, mmmmm r-compounds.... I think I might be getting some victoracers soon. Hopefully I'll be at the next event, just have to figure out a way to get in even though I'm only 17. I think I have a waiver on file still at Summit Point, so that might work. Anyway, glad you had fun. I'm also not gonna mod my car much so I can stay in DS for autox, and less money spent on mods is more money spent on track time/tires/autox.

best modification you can do is the driver and vir north course is very technical and requires understanding of your car and how to run it through the corners (especially the esses)

Im doing FMIC, Hi-flow cat, 2.5 cat-back,suspension, rotors and brakes Thats all the MSP needs in my opinion. we will never be a 10 second car unless you put the same amount of money you paid for the car into it. So lets just keep it in its home...the track!
