simota air intake

My favorite feature of that intake is the "heat-deflesting liquid coating"

Honestly, people, editing is kind of important when its on your company website.

i've heard good things about that intake, especially for the price compared to other intakes. tbh intakes dont do much on these engines... (headshake

It's the intake I should have bought...even though I got the Injen new for under 180 shipped to Canada, still could have saved quite a bit had I been smart enough to buy this from protege garage with the other stuff I got from there.

I am a Simota dealer and used to sell this intake. I also have one on my own car.
It is a nice intake for the money...there are no fitment issues at all.
FYI, simotausa.com is not Simota's own website, they are just a vendor like me...and that pic is one
of my customers from this forum, so that must be where they got it!

i liked mine when i had the p5... adn it sounded good! Protephile can hook you up on the intake. Thats where i got mine.

Don't know how I missed this reply.
No, actually I don't stock this intake any more, there are so many used intakes on this forum all the time, nobody buys 'em new any more!
I just wanted to tell you it's a good intake.
Hit me up if you ever need any other mods though, I carry at least one brand of just about anything.

Many of us can vouch for Protephile...he is the man. Great stuff, great prices, an excellent example of what an AV should be on this forum.

As for the intake...it doesn't really add HP as no intake really does for the FSDE. It fits well, although you need to remount the IAC somewhere else. Mine was unpainted so I can't vouch for the paint. It's a great deal.

this other one from them is good too its a AutoExe knock off

the autoexe rip off is the one i want. i wonder if protegegarage still sells them?

The Autoexe is a rebadged Simota actually. The CF series is Simota's design. I ordered six of these CF SRIs way back when, it took me
FOUR YEARS to sell them, no one gave a crap about them. I sold the last one earlier this year, practically gave it away.
But I sold six a month for the Mazda 3 version. Go figure.

I was looking at my car last night while changing plugs. I'm planning on ordering one of these cai, but I noticed that the coolant reservior looks like it needs to be relocated for this intake to fit. According to their picture, mine is a lot closer to the hole that the pipe goes down into. It was getting dark so I couldn't tell how it would be done. Also I couldn't find the carbon fiber auto exe knockoff on the site. Wouldn't mind having this one since I'm going to be adding cf hood and a few other cf pieces soon.

It's easy...iirc you just remove one bolt & swing it out it it around out of the way.
