Signal lights US Style

Hello!
Does anyone know if on a Mazda 2 can the signal lights be modified like the cars in US ? I mean, when you start your engine, the signal front lights will be turned on like the headlights but on a 30% intensity, and when you activate the signal , it gets to normal clipping on 100%.
I posted an youtube video below:

I understand that, but can it be mounted to a M2 ?

Can it be done? Of course. Can it be done cheaply or easily? No. You need the correct socket for a dual filament bulb, then you need to cut and splice the harness and find or make a fused line that is only hot when the ignition is on. Then you need to trim the headlamp housing to fit the new socket and find a way to non-permanently seal the portions of the housing that are now open due to the "tabs" on the light socket being in a different location.

You can also buy relays from OEM suppliers like PUMA. They make the type of relays you can wire up so that you can have many light configurations. I had one installed on my old civic si that ran the high beams at 35% as a DRL. When you turned on the headlights, the low-intensity high beam would turn off. Also, if you engaged the parking brake, the low intensity high beam would turn off. This is a typical factory relay. You see this type of application all across Canada, for instance.

You almost never see the amber only application in the US as a DRL. Cadillac, Corvette, and the occasional Chevys and Pontiacs used to emply it. That's pretty much it. They don't do it anymore because this is often confusing and against road policy in most European countries. Hence the adoption of white LEDs for the new regs. Typically, the amber bulb is not desired here in the US either since many states have very outdated laws concerning running "parking lights" only. They don't really ticket for it, but they do get weird about it.

PUMA makes a relay that performs the same function you've shown in the video above. You have to do some digging to find PUMA contact info. I was able to purchase my relay directly from them with wiring instructions. It was pretty easy. Took a long time to find them, and that was about 12 years ago.
