Side sills

I just ordered the side sills from Mazda I'm thinking of painting them flat black to match the front lip and rear bumper. I was wondering if anyone has done this yet and had a picture or if someone could render one.

Where did your purchase them from? How much, are you installing yourself, and is it difficult to install yourself?

I ordered them straight from Mazda, they come primed but I'm not positive on what color. Either way they're getting sprayed black by me. I'm also going to install them myself. They ran around 360 for the pair.

Let me know how the installation goes! YOu just using regular spray paint? Or do you prime etc, I don't have much experience with that, but if it's easy I'm willing to do it myself. Do the side sills just clip on?

They're already primered so ill wet sand them and chances are with it only being flat paint ill use a couple coats from spray cans along with flat clear to protect it. I'm not positive on how they go on because I haven't picked them up yet depending on the cost at the dealer I might have them install them just to stay on the safe side. I don't think it will be the difficult seeing as it is a Mazda product made specifically for that car. Ill post pictures after the install. I'm hoping they come primed flat black but with it being a plastic molded product it will probably be orange.

Went in to the dealer today to get my armrest and found out they came in already so I'm going to have them installed Monday when I get back from Maryland. They're only charging me 80 dollars for paint and install so I'll save myself the hassle.

ive got the spirited green m2 and im going with a green and black color combo, all the windows are done with 5% tint, and im going to get a spoiler in black too... though about getting the side sils done in black with the black rims, is they're a wing for the front and back bumper that i could get in black too?

id like to see the pics of your sils once you get em painted and installed!

Definitely have pics up asap. Idk what you mean by a wing for the front and back bumper, like a lip? There are a few on the market but I honestly think they're all ugly as hell so I'm waiting until the 3d carbon or one similar to it comes out.
