Get a blow dryer that blows really hot and heat up the adhesive behind the molding, and get a piece of fishing line or yarn. and put it behind the molding and go up and down as going towards the right. it will com off really easy and also use goo be gone or something of that nature.

You only need something to go underneath to get started pulling one end off (I recommend a nylon spatula wrapped in a microfiber towel :)). Then just slowly pull the rest straight off. Moving anything against your paint can scratch it. They should come off easy since it's an 09.

Basically what every one else said.. Mine were starting to peel so I just grabed the end that was peeling and pulled them off (try pulling at a downward angle). Goo be gone wasen't working out so much for me.. so I "thumbed" the goop off (rubbing the goop with my thumb). a couple blisters later and a nice high pressure car wash got all the goop off :)

^ Yeah that sucked, I did that with my bro's g/f's 2001 mazda protege and had a blister in just about every finger. It sucked.

I would seriously consider waiting until spring when temps are in the 70's or 80's, It will make removal and cleanup that much easier. Especially if your 3 is an 08 or older.

I used a blow dryer and fishing string for mine and removed the remaining glue with goof off followed by a wash with dish soap and a light coat of wax.

Easiest way for me was just have someone almost total your car by ramming you, then just tell the people that are repainting your car to make sure they take the moulding off when repainting, then not put them back on....works for me ;-)

It is there to protect your doors from other small cars, but the main door culprits are SUVs and Vans...their doors hit way above the side moulding so it renders the moulding useless most of the time.

Where I work, I can't risk it. Lol. There are idiots that sometimes park way too close to my car, or are just ridiculously stupid to be cautious of other cars.
Nothing's happened to it yet, but it's bound to happen.

Best is to heat up the whole strip a little, the goop comes off a lot easier, mostly sticks to the moldings themselves rather than the car. I recommend the gel Goo Gone, peels the left over goop right off!

Just dont try to use fecal material...totally doesnt work.

Awesome...you must post pics of her now...err....the car. My car is a female but are chicks cars female too?
