Show me your tweeter...need ideas for comp installation

I'll be installing my comp set this weekend and I need some ideas. SQ is a high priority but I won't be using any kick panels. I would also like to have the installation easily reversible so when it's time to sell my car I can just take the tweeter back without having holes all over my door panel.

What, Dave didn't tell you everything you needed to know? :D

I would try the new comonets in the stock locations first since that is the easiest thing to do.

We canadian don't get tweeters on our P5's.

I know Sir Nuke and probably others have just replaced the speakers and left the stock HU and say that it sounds very good. Because we Canadians didn't get tweeters I am wondering if our stock stereo is the same quality as that in the states. I can't afford to replace the HU but wouldn't mind spending some cash on speakers if it is going to make a major difference in sound quality. How can I find out whether we have the same HU? Also how do I find out who makes it? Also where are the tweeters located on your P5's and can you get the mount seperately?

Thanks in advance.

These are my rears.

These are the fronts.

I know the fronts aren't that pretty since they are just surface mounted, not flushed. but those Momo tweeters are too damn big. I may end up trying to fiberglass a pod for them on the panels though. As far as leaving holes, who cares! Just go buy some really cheap radio shack tweeters to put there when you get rid of the car.

hey

tweeter placement is all on what you want. most sound people recomment putting them as close to the woofers as possible. if you look in the picture directly above my post where the speaker grill is, i have placed my tweeters in the top right hand corner of the grill area. looks totally stock. unless you knew they werent stock, you'd never know. the sound quality coming out is great having them close too. in my previous car i had them set up like the picture above. i thought they were great. but in the p5 with the JL xr 650-cs's, the tweeter works better right beside the woofer.

later
