Should we buy this mazdaspeed?

Hey guys,

I went with a buddy to see an MSP today that he wants to buy and am unsure about it.

200000 km, rusty strut towers, very rough idle and 3 engine codes: P0300 (Coils?), P2009 (VTCS Solenoid?), P0131 (O2 Sensor?)

It has had custom work done to it like FMIC, turbo timer, CAI piping, aftermarket exhaust, deck and rims.

The price is really tempting, and I know what needs to be done to deal with those strut towers, I just need someone to verify that those engine codes are not commonly a serious issue?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that there was no BOV on the car.

You could if you're willing to spend some $$$. But other than that they really nice and quick rides. Love them off.

The coils shouldn't be that hard to replace tho. Idle wise I'd say get it checked. Probably throttle body needs cleaning or Idle control valve. Same happened to mines.

Cleaning the tb and replacing the coils is a cakewalk, that's not my concern.

I am worried that the rough idle is something more serious than the coils.

Just trying to see if someone had similar problems and it turned out more serious and expensive.

In any case, is there anything unique to a turbo car that I should check? as I have never dealt with them.

well it's an msp so everything is more serious and expensive lol..

Rust sucks. but no BOV? buy it for sure haha
