Should I paint it?

Should I paint the bumper flat black?

Taking a page from us "3" owners, huh? :D (Don't look @ the dirt.)

Yeah, looks good, but as ForceFed said (and said, and said, and said, and....) go with a semi-gloss or gloss finish. It'll be much easier to clean too.
Looks GOOD, kudakev615!!

go with a gloss black or the carbon fiber, flat black will make it look like the painters missed that whole part.

mines painted with high temp flat black paint. same as the emblems so it all matches. i like the no shine look. it helps break up the back end. now its time to order the carbon hatch handle. it was easy to paint. just hard to sand down in the little ridge. took my one night and a 12 pack

I like the red black theme you got goin!! I say go with the DG.....I have that in my plans as well!

Well, I think it looks awesome. Thanks everyone (cool)

I like, and did mine flat black. I don't like the look of gloss, I like the contrast of flat. Cars from the factory that have this look usually have it flat black.

I love the look. I keep toying with the idea myself. The dg cf piece would be another non-permanent way to get a similar look.

I would have to agree here. . i actually had mine painted and then found a good deal on the cf piece.. . unfortunatly i lost my cf piece on the way back home from mazdasummer palooza

I got a set of 2002 polished wheels and painted them using 2 cans of rustoleum flat black. It's working fine and has no chips, just make sure you scuff the entire surface with sandpaper and clean them thoroughly. I let mine dry in the sun so I could do more layers faster. The other wheels are off and in storage...

the duplicolor stuff is supposed to be more durable, but I don't have any problems. plus the regular paint is way cheaper.

wayyyyy cheaper! at pepboys duplicolor is $6.49. plus another 6.49 for clear coat. might aswell by the high gloss regular can and just put alot of coats. i wll make my desicion tomarrow, becuz i want to start this project asap becuz im using one of the stockers right now and dont want to wear the thread down anymore.
