Short Throw Shift Plate for the MS6

i can personally verify.. this is gonna happen.. its on my car right now and working great!! hes just trying to be careful and get some miles on this part before it gets sold to everyone.. IMO thats the right way to do it.. and it will ABSOLUTLEY be worth your wait.. and im running it with the TWM with no issues and the reduction with the two together is just ridiculous overall!! and the price just seals the deal!! heres a teaser..

That's awesome! It must be close to an 1.5" of travel from 1st to 2nd now. Haha!

I can't wait to get one for my Stage 1 too. (first)

Word on the street is I'm getting one at autocross this weekend. I'll let you guys know how great it is!

I spoke with markspd6 a great length last night.

In his words...
"it's great", and "really short". He did mention that a little more effort is needed but he expected that and so did I. He also added that even though a little more effort is needed that it felt "smoother" to him.

I would imagine that it will work well with the Stage 2, but there will probably be even a little more effort needed due to the shortened shifter.

I will be installing this Sunday on Blenderclouds MS6 with the TWM Stage 1.
I'll let you know how that goes.

I should also have the website ready and taking orders this weekend as well. I'm one guy doing all of this and I hate to rush and make mistakes so I appreciate you all hanging in there.

Cheers!

Taking the time to make sure it's done correctly is appreciated as well. You'll get no complaints here.

The results are really really good.. And the added bit of friction is actually helping me to NOT beat my clutching skills.. For me there's always a little adjustment period when making any changes on this car.. But, this is a guarranteed must for any MS6!! There's just no way for it to interfere with the TWM sts so there's no sacrifice here.. The quality is ten times better than the other part out there and it has a very nice heavyWeight high quality feel.. If you're even remotely thinkin of getting an SSP wait the extra week.. I promise you'll be happy!!

Anyone considering purchasing this product can rest assured that the vendor (JBarone) has gone through vigerous testing to ensure a high quality piece. I think this truely sets him apart from some of the other makers of similar products.

yeah and im open to criticism about my review.. im not a licensed mechanic or anything.. but ive done about 200 installs and this was by far the easiest performance mod ive ever seen.. and it will be on my car from now on.. so ill be updating if theres any issues... but, I do believe giving out some test parts really helps with an objective review.. i think most people who pay $75 for something want to feel it was the right thing to do.. even if it wasnt..

i told jaimee what i thought and my opinions.. its not alot but, we since both got the same results.. that was very reassuring.. if we had very different results wed know something was up?? so rest assured ill have some serious driving and pulls on this part.. i wont baby this part or my car.. thats not what im up to..

still pretty stoked about the shifting!! I used to have a problem getting into fifth on lower rpms.. now it just goes right in!! these are a worthwhile affordable mod.. best value for the money so far.. guaranteed!! my TWM set up was almost $200 and got me similar results..

Are these ready to ship?

Or is there going to be a group buy?

I emailed the other competitor for a ship quote but got no reply back. So that annoys me, so looking to purchase from you instead.

Thanks

ive installed both of these pieces.. the other guys part sucks!! its week and light.. just too many problems to list.. and his customer service blows!! this is a much nicer heavier and better made unit.. and it comes in colors.. im pretty sure these are done?? I have one.. but, I didnt get bushings so maybe those arent done?? sorry im just speculating here.. but, the piece itself is done, and its tight!!

is the shifter weight included to be used only if you lost/threw out/hit your neighbor with the stock one?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but what is the advantage of using a short shift plate instead of getting a TWM short shifter?

The installation is so much easier. I cannot stress that enough. There is no dismantling a center console. No drilling into the stock assembly. Just a couple bolts and you're done. Additionally, it is easily reversible in the event that you don't like it or want to sell your car/sell the item. Oh, not to mention it's so much cheaper.

If you check jbarones website (linked above) you can go to the speed6 section and there is a stage 1 and stage 2 kit. Stage 2 just adds the shifter bushings. So, it looks like they are available to purchase...

I thought I heard talk about a group buy earlier in this thread as well. I mean, I will probably be buying the stage 2 kit regardless, but will jump on a group buy if there is indeed going to be one. Although, the stage 2 kit is already priced pretty well and adds the shifter bushings for just $15.
