For all of oyu who have a short throw shifter, who would u say makes the best one all around for the mp3? Meaning, easiest to install, best feel, best price, so on and so on. Looking into getting one.

dude...its kinda general question....everyone has their own preference...and their are reviews on the various products...people have spent time posting their results....(hate saying this) but...search....

but...

they are all about the same for installation....

my choice remains www.twmperformance.com

I like my kartboy a lot. Can't go wrong either way, I guess price would be the biggest factor then. So kartboy wins. Muahahah :D

even if you do get the TWM you'll want the kartboy bushings, just keep that in mind.

why is that?

theres only so many ways to make a metal rod

but maybe if you want a shorter looks or actual sorter throw. i just want a shorter look and apparently the kartboy is an inch shorter looks wise.

Price is not everything....in the world of aftermarket parts..we should all remember that.

Twm shifter:
-6061-T6 billet aluminum
-unique inner bearing brace bushing which guards against bearing damage due to over-tightening
- kits include CNC machined billet aluminum heat sheild spacers (no bending or cutting of the heat shield)

$40USD more.....easy choice IMO.

whoa

i rnever realized it has the same type bearing as my rollerblades

lol wonder if i could put my abec 7 speed bearings in there and have smoother faster shifts? lol

Yeah, it was an easy choice...That's why I picked the Kartboy. Don't over tighten the bolt, and you wont damage it; problem solved. Use the time it would take you to install the heat sheild spacers, and bend the heat shield.
Besides, with the Kartboy, you can get a SS/knob/bushings combo for about $153 total after tax/shipping.

you probably really could put skate bearings in there, i donno if itwould really help. if someone donated a shifter to me, i would put the skate bearings in it and try it out lol
