so ive seen plenty of built hondas shifting at say 8-10k rpm ranges, anyone here have there mp3 / mazdaspeed able to make power and shift at the high without damage. what would have to be done to reach that
prolly up the internals. stronger rods and bolts. and need some fuel and timing management as well. maybe even new camshafts and cam gears but i'm not sure.

Honda's shift that high because that's were there power is. They have no low end power or torque so you have to wind the engine like there's no tomorrow for it to make any power. Something like this is usually controlled by the cam shafts themselves. Typically based on the cams and we're there power band is located will be the depending factor on where to shift.
