Shifter Bushings

Remind me the deal here - I've got lots of slop. EBay has 2-bushing sets for like $20, while Corksport has a nice 4-piece bronze set for 40. Where are the extra 2 going? (I need to look at mine when warmer) Are there other alternatives, or is Corksport a slam dunk? (I didn't check dealer part and $) I'm trying to do it on the cheap as my P5 has rust issues. thx

I replaced all the rubber in my shift linkage and it cost me ~$50. This includes the support shaft bushings, and 6 smaller bushings. I have no doubt that the CorkSport bushings are top quality but I was looking for a cheaper solution not only for my car but my friend's LeMon. The support shaft bushings I found in urethane for ~$20/pair shipped. I found the part numbers for Kia bushings and a Mazda bolt that replaces the original rivet in another thread. There was a online OEM parts reseller that had both which allowed me to combine shipping. I had an M8 Locknut in my spare parts. I don't want to take anything away from CorkSport but if you weren't going to take the plunge on their product then you've got enough info to find a similar deal for yourself.

The difference in feel is dramatic and exactly what I was looking for. Many others would probably find it gives too much feedback but it's perfect for my taste!

Good luck and have fun!
