Shift knobs

i went shoping for a shift knob today and i found a couple of nice ones. However there was one that i liked but the guy at the shop said it might not fit on all cars and he said i would have to bring him the car to test it. My question is have any of you guys had problemes fitting a new knob on your p5's if so please let me know. thank you!!!!

P.S. I recieve my car on tuseday so i did not have it with me today to test. I drove my sister's car.

u got auto or 5 speed?

i bought a momo knob for my auto and i had to shave down the shaft to fit the knob. it took some time, but it was worth it.

peace

If you've got a manual then you want a knob that fits an M10 x 1.25 thread; an MSP takes M8 x 1.25 I believe. I have no clue what an automatic shifter takes. Or you can get a "general fit" knob (most knobs out there) that use screws to hold itself in place (I'm not a big fan of those). Either way, try it on before you buy it, as most knobs are generic and don't fit right off-the-shelf. Good luck!

It's so weird but I was just looking at shift knobs for an automatic and someone makes a thread about it 5 min later. (boom07)
