while navigating the confusing snake pit that is the houston intergalactic flight terminal last night, picking up the mrs. from d.c., i wasn't able to keep an eye out as usual for the lack of quality in our road system here....

it's really getting bad around houston... the roads SUCK... nothing is getting fixed, just patched... if touched at all! you really have to pay attention. so much for my 'tax' dollars at work.

what looked like just an un-even 'patch' turned out to be a huge gash in the road, from what i can tell... managed to swerve into the crosshatched median (i think) to avoid a massive blow, but the right tire took a SLAM!!!!

i was sure at the very least, i had bent a wheel, or knocked it out of alignment. i drove a bit further till i was able to pull over, but nothing felt different..... got the light out, checked it all out, not one thing out of place... ok.

drove fine all the way home, didn't pull, drove straight, etc.... and i was even trying to imagine it not driving right (you know what i mean)...

checked it out again this morning, wife drove it to work, says it drove fine....

ok, i'm impressed.... really.

same thing happened to me but I was not so fortunate. Dealer is going to check to see if its the tire internals or the wheel that got jacked. from what I can tell wheel looks perfectly fine so who knows.
