Serpentine belt issues or not

Here is a quick breakdown of events

I had my oil changed about 1.5 months ago at a quick change business I have gone to for years
They showed me my serpentine belt and it was very worn....asked if I wanted it replaced..yes
New belt squealed and chirped so I returned to the business, the owner said come back in a week if it continues
I returned the following week and they replaced it, it was better but it still chirped
A few days later my car would not start 2 mornings in a row. I was concerned about my alternator so I took it to the Mazda dealer (closest is over an hour away..I live in BFE).
I did not mention the belt, but they claimed my alternator and battery tested fine, the issue was a bad sensor for my heater that stayed on after I turned the car off...I knew about this issue after researching it, but had not fixed it yet...BUT they also said that my battery was at 45% and they were charging it for me. Since I am female I assume they did not take me seriously because the cause did not make any sense and the fact that my battery was at 45% after driving for over an hour did not make any sense...I got my husband on the phone and he relayed the info to the service manager who said he would discuss w/mechanic...seems like people no longer use common sense and only go by what a computer diagnostic test tells them...so I paid $200 for a inexpensive sensor, to have my battery charged, and to be dismissed.
Two days later the car won't start again...so my research tells me that I should have replaced the belt tensioner when the belt was replaced. We ordered the tensioner and replaced it...so the belt still chirps and twice more I have had to jump my car...so I now wonder if a generic serpentine belt would be the issue since this is when the issue began? Anyone have any suggestions or experience with this?
 
Yeah, go oem on the belts. If you are still on your oem battery, you are lucky. My 08' manufacture date is May 2008. My oem battery died last spring. Get an Interstate Megatron Plus. You won't ever have to worry about your battery going flat. Pretty much the best battery you can buy. Well worth the money, but hard to find in stock. You gotta call around to a lot of places until you find that battery. MTP-24F 6 year warranty, 800 cold cranking amps. You will have to trim your battery insulator a little bit with some scissors. The megatron plus is a fuzz larger than the oem battery and even heavier than the oem battery.
