Self dimming mirror on 3 with auto wipers?

I posted awhile back about this and basically came to the conclusion that the Mazda 3 I have(Canadian model) couldn't use the auto mirror I bought because the sensor for the auto wipers.
I went to a Mazda site(dealer) and look under parts and now see a :

MIRROR BASE (REQUIRES INSTALLATION KIT)
Auto-Dimming with Compass (Mazda3 - with rain sensing wipers/SP23

Does this mean that I could use this installation kit to install the OEM self dimming mirror? Not sure if the SP/23 uses different setup, so don't want to waste another $40 trying to make the mirror work. If anyone knows I'd appreciate it.

(bump) for a good question. i would love to put one of this in my car too.

Zoomvt--wth do you care if about the sensing wipers and s***, you don't have an sp23 just toss the oem autodimming on and you will be fine...stop spending so much time in the damn cow fields.... (hah)

rottwiler if the parts guy has that listed in his info i would feel pretty strongly that you will get the correct mount to make it work. some one else might have some better info but i would think by that description that it would work, ask your parts guy to order it and see if he will take it back if it doesn't work?

ha, because that worked out so well for you right tsunami? lol
I wouldnt believe anything that comes out of the service parts guy. And i would never order it hoping they take it back, cause they prob wont.
There are a few people that probably know, including goldwing or captain Ken.

The standard kit fits easily into any car without rain-sensing wipers. It was one of the first things I installed in mine when I bought it.

No idea about the new kit that supposedly works with the rain-sensing wipers but if they have a part number, then it's probably accurate.
