Selecting defrost in cold weather

Last several mornings we've had ice on the windshield. We have the Sport, so no auto climate control. I tried to select the full defrost mode but the dial wouldn't stay in that position; it kept springing back to the intermediate position between floor-defrost split and defrost. As the car warmed up, I could get the dial back to full defrost.

This isn't really a big deal, since we can get warm air to the windshield, but I was curious to see if anyone else has experienced this issue. I'll be bringing it up to the dealer at the next service.

I can't help you because I have the autoclimate control. But I don't know if my autoclimate works well since we don't got the ice morning yet.
