seems slow - whats going on?

:
2003.5 Ti MSP
So i've been driving my new MSP a lot lately (been driving it for like 4 days now) and today it seemed particularly slow. Normally when I get on it it moves pretty good, I mean, its not a ROCKET, but its pretty quick. Today though, it seemed like the more gas I gave it, it didnt really make a difference. I can hear the turbo spooling and my boost guage is reading about 6 psi (stock boost) - the blow off sounds pretty normal although now that I think of it it sounds a lot more blow-off-ish than normal (less turkey, more whoosh) - its got a Forge BOV and I can hear more of the PSHHHH noise than yesterday - yesterday it was more turkeyish - First gear feels fast of course but in second it feels slowwww. . . It feels like i get the initial boost from the turbo and then all my torque is gone from like 4200 RPMs and up. . . I looked for cracked plastic pipes and it all looked good, couldnt hear any leaks, although it was making a high pitched squealing noise around 5000 RPMs that I hadnt noticed before - sounded like the turbo although higher pitched and, like I said, i hadnt heard it before. Could this be something with the Forge BOV (like its leaking boost or something even though my guage reads 6 PSI) or is it maybe just in need of the flash (it feels kinda rich / boggy)? It COULD be heat soak (I dont boost ALL THE TIME, like, i'll boost for like 5 seconds tops and hten cruise for 5 minutes before boosting again so not really likely) but i pulled up at a light next to an evo, revved up (not to race, im not that dumb =P) and he started asking me how i liked my speed etc. when the light turned green i got on it pretty hard just to see what he'd do and, obviously, he blew by me but thats not the point - i was on it pretty hard and i was actually just barely passing the other traffic. . . . . wtf. It got faster as i kept driving but it seems kinda sporadic. Please guys, any input is appreciated.

Edit: Realistically, i think it could be the Forge BOV (I want to replace it with the stock BPV or an upgraded BPV [if anyone has one they'd be willing to part with let me know]) or the fact that i think its unflashed (although it might be). . .

As of 10 minutes ago - My dad just got home and we went out and drove it - it was running great. Being night time / cooler air (75 degrees maybe?) / the engine was cold, I dont know if this offers you any more insight as to what it would be or not. . . I'll drive it again tomorrow too and if it runs like this then thats fine. . . but if it runs like it did earlier, meaning im running it hard and its barely keeping up with traffic. . . then ive got problems. . .

Depends how bad it really is, if it's just random then maybe it's normal. the MSP for some odd reason has it's moments of dead power. I had it doing it before that the car just feels like it doesn't want to accelerate very well. I'd take it to the dealer to see if it's been flashed.

Hey what do you guys mean by flashed? Are you talking about the PCM that causes hesitation when accelerating? I have that problem with my 2003.5. How much does it cost to fix if your not under warranty? 51K

take off that P.O.S Forge BOV!!!
I read that some members' cars ran like s*** w/it. I didn't listen and bought one anyways. After a year I replaced it with the stock bpv and all that performance came right back(after the ecu relearned).

It could be the bov if other people have had problems with it, but i know that personally i just run into times when the ECU desides to be crap-tastic and the car just feels awful. No real rhyme or reason to it that i can find. Thats why the next thing on my list is some EMS.

If you haven't had the flash done it might help. It could also be other things in addition to heatsoak with the stock I/C.

The bad tuning, combined with *missing air* causes it to run super crappy. Oh, then add into the equation our stock interwarmer. so many issues to take care, (damn you mazda) :(
