Hello fellow Mazda owners. I couldn't find a 'problems/issues/help' type category, so I am just posting here. I appreciate any help I can get because I am a self admitted "not a car" guy.
I have a Mazda Protege 2001, have had it for 4+ years. But only until 2-3 weeks ago did my DOOR CHIME (a constant beep, beep, beep) start going off when my door is open, by car is OFF, no lights on, no stereo on... And I swear it never used to do that, only door chime when the door is open and I left something on or a light on. Know what I mean? That's why it caught me so off guard and I think is some kind of problem, because now every time I get out of my car its beeping when the door is open.
I have seen other forums and posts about the door chime issue, and most of them are related to something still being on in the car, like headlights because that would be it's warning like any car...
A friend recently thought it's a warning for a blown fuse or something else? Again, any help is appreciated greatly, thank you!
