Second look at MSP & will wait for yellow 03.5

I visited the dealer here in Diego and they had it in the show room for the second day now. It had 19 miles, they say that those miles are only from unloading it and nobody has driven it but with 19 miles c'mon! :bs: Anyways I finally got to sit in it and damn, luv the seats, stereo sounded nice but the reception on the two stations I tried weren't that good, and damn that shifter is small! The sales women didn't know anything about the car and after a couple of facts I spit out she was like WOW you should work here. Thought to myself, she should meet some of you guys on this board! Ha Ha It was next to a window on a perfect sunny day in Diego "of course!" But I am not diggn' the orange as much and black is OUT OF THE ?..... Good thing is that this will give me a chance to save up another $1K for the down payment on a yellow 03.5.

Hey....
well i'm sure those 19 miles that one of the salesman must'd of took her around the block behind they finally drove into the showroom. That's for sure! When i went to pick up my car, it only had 22 Kms and that's with a pre-delivery test drive. So, when they say the 19 miles came from unloading...i'm sure they meant unloading around the block! :D.

Such liers... I don't know why they lie.

Anyway, if that was a salesman that came up to me for help and didn't know jack about the car, i'd never buy the car from them. C'mom man, at least know something.....
One of the salesman from my dealership believed that the 'Kenwood' symbol on top of the rear upper deck grill is real Gold!....now that's :bs:

A normal Protege could easily show up at the dealership with 10 miles. After PDI and the mandatory road test that could easily bring it up to 15. But also consider, these cars were driven in and out of installation areas at the port. If they had to install everything on the car, take it back and park it, then had to replace a part or install something that wasn't available initially (possibly a stereo or other component) that could rack up a few more miles easily. If it was more miles, I'd be more suspicious, but 19 isn't totally unbelievable.

Did the dealer know anything about the 2003.5? Like when they'll be getting them?

I didn't even bother to ask cuz' this sales woman didn't know a damn thing! Incase there are any sensative woman on the board I am not saying this cuz' she is a woman it was just that this "Salesperson" didn't know JACK or his BOX....
But my truck should sell next weekend and that is when I will go in there and tell them I want to be the first with a Yellow 03.5 and I will bug them every week until April about it. :p

Why are you only going to bug them until April? The latest rumour from digi168, who has been reliable, is that they won't leave port until August...

ha, when i bought my P5 in August, my car had 89 miles on it! it must've been the car that everyone test drove (including me) b/c i put a good 10 miles on it just test driving it, but that's because my salesman let me take it on this windy road and showed where it's true potential was. Needles to say i fell in love with it.

Because he doesn't live in Canada. Even digi168 said he didn't have any info from the US.

I realize that, but I don't think there will be a huge disparity between when the 2003.5's come out in Canada and when they come out in the U.S. But thats just a guess, so who knows.
All I'm saying is if you will be hard-up for a vehicle if it doesn't come out in April, I wouldn't "put all my eggs in one basket" with the 2003.5 MSP's. Look how delayed the 2003's were (or are, as the case may be for some of us...)

mine had 35 on it because it was driven from another dealership...they went to all the trouble to find the exact one i wanted and the salesmans wife went and picked it up and drove it to the dealership i was at

You gotta be $h!tn' me! August! Damn!!! I was going to borrow a car for a while but that is a long while! What would be the best way to find this info out? I'm sure it would be this site but I would like some actual word from Mazda.... Why the He!! would they have them sitting at the ports for 6 months out in the weather? That is a crime! Well my pops has 8 jalopies (SP) I might just have to rock a Pea Green International Scout for a few months. And I guess I have all the time in the world to sell my truck! Hahaha.

C'mon Mazda USA come thru again! Well we will see, I might just have to grab the orange one. I could settle for that if I have too.
