In today's edition of the San Diego Union Tribune, they have an artical on the new generation of station wagons. On the front page of the Currents section they have a big picture of a white p5. The artical is basically about how SUV backlash has led to the cool, new, smaller wagons.

"Car industry experts say the SUV crazy may have peaked. And for those who'd sooner buy a bus pass than an Expedition, wagons are the way to go.
"'I think SUVs are disgusting,' said John Wagner, a 23-year-old college student from Escondido who recently bought a Mazda Protege5, a small wagon with style elements reminiscent of the hopped up cars used in streetracing.
"'There is no reason anyone should need a vehicle that large. The people who drive them are usually incompetent, and they have four-wheel drive just in case they accidentally back into the flower bed at the mall.'"

...
"John Wagner sees his Mazda Protege5 as a part sports car, part hatchback and part wagon --- all of which are OK by him."
