In this day and age, if you make a conscious decision to NOT go to college (either community college or university), you are definitely only hurting yourself.

Both of my chosen fields have no use for a college education. Only experience and ability is of concern. To go into something else I may like I either have to put myself into extream debt or suck dry my parents retirement fund.

The entire educational system is a joke since college became a standard. Now peopl go becuase they are "suposed to". Too many graduate with no real skill or direction from which they went to school for.

I am 22. I make almost 60K a year have my own house and 2 cars. I am not hurting to eat or clothes myslef. If I get laid off in one field (which is damn near impossible) I have another to fall back on to make the same if not slightly less a year.

College is not worth $25,000 a year to everyone. I take coarses becuase I am interested in them and want to, not becuase some jackoff decides I need to know it along with my chosen major.
